ORIGINS

The ORIGIN series is an exploration of our roots and the source of our essence. ORIGIN, comprised of “Uterus” and “Fertility Vases,” invites us to remember who we are, where we come from, and to take our place here and now, from our most intimate environment to within contemporary society.

“Uterus”: A symbol of life and heritage. It represents the sacred space that holds our ancestral memory and the genetic information of our mothers and grandmothers. It connects us to our immense power of gestation, creation, and creativity, enabling us to bring to life what we desire. It connects us to our most authentic selves, empowering us to embrace what strengthens us and discard limiting conditions.

“Fertility Vases”: A piece that connected me with various stories surrounding the worship of women and the matristic societies of the Neolithic period, the invisibility of women throughout history, and interpersonal relationships as a focal point.
